Traveling to London. Tips to remember

Traveling to London can be fun, but it can be scary at the same time. This is because this is a huge city and they are doing things a lot different than us. This reminds me of the story my friend Matt Stone told me. Matt owns a replacement and roof repair company in Charlotte NC, its called Ace Solar and Roofing. He says a customer traveled to London but heard about a hurricane and the damage to his home while traveling. Matt’s crews were able to replace the roof quickly and at an affordable price. There are a couple of things that you can do to ensure that when you are traveling to London, you are going to have the best possible time. This is why these traveling tips are essential to remember. Make sure that you have enough money in your budget If you have a tight budget, then you should rather not travel to London. London is really expensive and you might need to have a huge budget in order for you to have a great time. This is why not many tourists are visiting London, and if they do, they make sure that they have a lot of money with them. And, this is also the main reason why most tourists are only visiting London for a weekend.  Book at a hotel way in advance Don’t think that you will find a hotel and a place to sleep once you arrive in London. This is going to be a big mistake. Not only will you not know where to find reasonable accommodation, but there is always a huge chance that you will not find any available space. This is a huge risk to visit London without having your accommodation in place.  Do the research and know what you want to see and do before arriving in London There are many things that you can do and see in London. Especially, if this is the first time that you are visiting London. This is why you should make a list of all the things that you want to see and do in London before you arrive in London.  Otherwise, you might end up missing out on the places that you actually wanted to see in the first place.  Make use of public transport The last tip is to make use of public transport. Their public transport isn’t bad, and it is a lot cheaper than making use of private transport or hiring private transport. Especially, if you are on a tight budget.  If you are a frequent traveler, you might consider traveling to London. However, because of the many things you hear about London, you are too afraid to make this your next destination. With these tips, you will not have anything to worry about. You will have a great experience and will have all the knowledge to know what to expect when you are traveling to London.

The 2020 Olympics in Japan

Every four years the world comes together to play games, the Olympic Games and 2020 will be no different. So in July 2020 the host country will be Japan. They are preparing to host the games with about 4 new games added this year. Tickets went on sale about four weeks ago and a Google search will show you the cost to watch each game and that alone can be expensive. Many families are making plans to attend the Olympic Games in 2020. Be sure to have your young children properly checked out by the family doctor and its best to travel with ample medical supplied as well as their medical records. Just as the world prepares for the Games it’s also necessary for you to plan for the games. The most important thing to prepare for is your budget. If you’re currently working you will need to take time off from work. Since the Games are 14 days long, you’ll need to take at least 16 days off from work to give you time to rest from jet lag. Having an extra day before the opening ceremonies begin to get some rest and allow your body to adjust is a very good idea. Getting the right hotel is important so check out the recent reviews of any hotel you may be stating at. Also plan on arriving 1 or 2 days before the Opening Ceremony. Usually the first day, the Opening Day Ceremony can be very expensive, but if you can you’ll want to put that in your budget, but if not just get a good seat at a local bar or restaurant with T.V.s to view with others. Try to find others from your same county so you can enjoy the feeling of being on the same team. When it comes to booking your flight and hotel, you have the option of booking everything yourself or using a travel agency. Don’t forget to double check your pasport and make copies and put them away in a safe location. When using a travel agency its best to use someone that comes to you via a referral so you know you’re dealing with a quality company. When it comes to traveling alone you may want to book the flight and hotel yourself, and you can do them both at that same time to save money. We have had success with Orbitz Travel in the past they can put together a hotel and flight package if you wish or just tickets if you wish to arrange your hotel stay separately. But whatever you do, plan to have the experience of a lifetime! Now is time to shop around for the best travel deals so you can make this ‘once every four year event’ a pleasurable event for everyone in your party. Traveling To NC? Here’s How To Prepare

Traveling To NC? Here’s How To Prepare

Plan on Traveling to NC anytime soon? North Carolina is quickly becoming a travel destination for worldwide travelers. Whether it’s the Outer Banks, Charlotte, or even heading west over Asheville- there’s plenty to do and see. And no matter where you go there will be of hotels, AirBNB’s, vacation home rentals, and even some tiny home rentals. However, NC is home to some pretty intense weather depending on when you visit, so here are some things to keep in mind while planning your trip.  When Traveling To NC, Know When Hurricane Season is  The southeast is pretty notorious for hurricanes. Hurricane season can run from around September to December. We hunted down some Charlotte, NC roofing contractors to ask them if travelers should avoid hurricane season.  You don’t need to avoid NC during the hurricane but it is wise to see if the place you plan to stay has been hit by a hurricane recently. Many hotels and vacation homes are right on the beach, so there are times they are undergoing repairs- which usually involve the roof. So just call ahead and check the website before you book.  Bring Bug Spray  It’s the south after all. Make sure you bring travel-sized bug spray to avoid those pesky mosquitos and anything else. When talking with roofing companies in Charlotte, NC we learned all about the bugs they encounter and they couldn’t stress enough to bring bug spray so you aren’t miserable during your entire stay.  Drink Lots of Water  North Carolina is not only hot but incredibly humid. It’s very easy to become dehydrated and even experience heatstroke without proper water intake. Make sure you’re drinking a bottle of water every hour, and take lots of breaks in the shade when you can. If you’re not used to humidity, it can be very exhausting (much like walking through the ocean)- so give yourself more time to get the sightseeing done.  Hit Up Waffle House  No visit to North Carolina would be complete without a stop at the Waffle House. This breakfast diner, open 24-hours a day, is known for amazing waffles with that southern charm.  Forget the Jacket  If you come to North Carolina in the summer, don’t bring that “just in case jacket.” At midnight it can still be over 100 degrees and humid. Bring breezy, light clothes that won’t stick to you when you sweat (because you will). And because it’s so hot and humid, you will actually like the air-conditioned coffee shops without feeling cold.  Ask the Locals  No matter what kind of travel book you read, there’s nothing like asking the locals where to eat, shop, and visit. That hole in the wall restaurant that nobody writes about might be the best food you had in a long time. Same goes where to shop- people in the south have their own unique style and their stores show it. Ask where to buy the latest fashions and home decor items wherever you are and be pleasantly surprised. We sure hope you enjoy your visit to NC, there’s so much to see! Don’t forget to listen to Charlotte, NC roofer Matt Stone and just check the times you’re going and places you plan on staying.
