Analog Transition

Analog is Gone
Carriers will no longer be required to support the old AMPS Network.  A few may continue to support this network while they build out their digital system.

The old, familiar 'bag phone', 'flip phone', and other 'antiques' will officially be retired.  We are continuing to receive calls from clients who must replace their old Analog system with the new digital GSM or CDMA systems.  From Northern Canada to Southern Florida, the AMPS system is going away.

How Can OmniCell help you?

Your carrier will help you to replace your handset...OmniCell cannot do that.  However, we can provide the proper equipment to eliminate your home land line, allow you to continue wirelessly FAXing from your Group 3 FAX machine, and to send and receive data directly from your computer.

Call or write to us and see how we can help you.  Click on a link below to review some of the equipment that is available to help you join the wireless technology movement.  The Analog (AMPS) system was great for transmitting data, FAX, etc.  However, great strides are being made to allow those same goals to be met by using the newer, less expensive digital networks.

Fixed Wireless (Cellular) Terminals will allow you to connect your computer to the internet*, connect your FAX machine for sending and receiving*, and to connect up to five standard extension phones.

Wireless External Modems will allow you to connect your WiFi router, your computer, and your headset for your voice and data needs.

Cellular Docking Stations will allow you to 'dock' your handset while using a standard telephone set to continue to place and receive cellular phone calls.  This is a perfect way to replace your home phone with cellular service.

Wireless Security can be yours by using any of the above solutions.  The means will depend upon the requirements of your security system and the capabilities of each technology.
