3rd Generation 'W' Series Terminal
True 3rd Generation data handling is available with the new "W2" series wireless terminal from Ericsson.
The WCDMA/HSDPA '3G' network is capable of 3.6 Mbps transmission. A unique feature of the Ericsson 'W2' series
is that, if a 3G network is not available, the terminal will function seamlessly with the current GPRS/EDGE network.
Carriers are moving this new technology into many areas around the country. Check with your local outlet to see when
your area will be complete.
The Ericsson W-25 is working great with GSM carriers. Voice and Data networks
are ready to go. If you do not have the new 'G3' data technology in your area yet, the terminal will seamlessly switch
to 'G2' EDGE or GPRS.
